Colour is my passion and scarves are the canvas on which I play. Using fabrics and thread I express mood, movement and texture; I think of my scarves as jewellery in textile form, designed to be worn, used, and loved.

With a formal background in graphic design, I bring structure, composition and a keen love of colour to everything I make. My current Trompe l’Oeil Collection is the fulfilment of a long-held ambition: to combine the precision of stitched canvas work with the warmth and softness of knitting, and to transalete both into wearable art.

Using advanced digital printing technology, each design begins with an original canvas or knitted piece, which is faithfully reproduced onto habotai silk or a fine-weave wool. The playful illusion is that you are seeing stitches and texture – but the piece offers so much more than meets the eye.

I work in my studio in the heart of the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire. Visitors are welcome by appointment. I’m always happy to take on special commissions. I exhibit at shows across the UK too. Please check my current listings to see where I’ll be next.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me walking the Malverns with Jesse the lurcher – finding inspiration, recharging creativity, and thinking about the next piece.
