November catch up

A tiny bouquet of flowers from the garden this November!

Hi! Sorry I’ve been so neglectful of posting on my “News and Views”. There’s more than ever a reel of things one has to do these days when running your own business. Being a creative person, all I want to do is design and make, but I’m all too aware that these days, there is so much more. I’m even sighing as I write this, when I consider the list.

The demands of media can be overwhelming. I sometimes feel it’s fun, sometimes get overcome with the pressure and sometimes wonder if it’s working! However, I persist!

Sadly, though, I received a very negative and upsetting email from a customer who was quite unhappy with her order, and the way that I have decided to change direction of production and making. I should have gotten over it, and truthfully, all the positive, encouraging and enthusiastic emails I receive from my customers do so much to build up my confidence and the joy in what I do. So, thank you - with all my heart - for the time and trouble you take to email me with such lovely feedback.

The reason I mention the blow of a negative email, though, is to stress that I’m here not simply to sell, sell, sell. I really want you to be happy with your purchases. It means a lot to me. And, it’s legal requirement that you can return your purchase if you’re not happy with it, within 14 days of receiving it. It’s all in my terms and conditions, as with all other businesses. I’m not out in some far flung place in China. I’m here, at the end of a phone, and I only want you to be happy when you wear my scarves, because you are my models, out there, showing my scarves to their best - but only if you’re happy with it!

Alternatively, if you find you don’t like the scarf you’ve ordered, have you considered keeping it as a gift for a friend who would be thrilled with it? I’ve always thought that when you’re giving a scarf as a gift, you’re also giving an invisible hug. They will surely think of you when they put the scarf on and get that instant feel of luxury and comfort. This is my way of seeing things!

So, please be aware that I’m happy to help you out! And I noticed that the videos I posted on Instagram recently went down really well. So, while I work on some new styling tips, here are the videos to give some tips on styling your scarves. I’d love to see some photos of you with my scarves - simply email them to me! I may well start using you as my reference! And there will be a pack of my new greeting cards as my thank you to you! So…..here are two little videos!
