An original needlepoint tapestry reflecting the ideas of movement, stitched in contemporary bold colours, ideal for any wall of your home.

The design is a reflection on movement, and the shapes that represent travel and growth. I mutually sketched out the idea on the App “Procreate” which was very satisfying, as it also allowed the pen to flow and make smooth moving marks.

Image size size 40cms x 40cms. The tapestry has approximately 2.5cms unworked selvedge visible. You can either box frame the piece, allowing the unworked canvas to show, or double mount, flush to the edge, which helps prevent glass resting directly onto the thread.

I used zweigart mono canvas, 12 stitches to 1”, with DMC cotton perlé 3. The stitch was a straight stitch in the discipline of a diamond shape throughout, to emphasise the movement of the colours, and to play with the light falling on the stitches.

As a one off, this piece is sold stitched onto foam board to preserve it being flat. It is ready for you to mount and display to your own preferences.
